FAQ's

What should I expect at my first appointment?

At your first appointment, our aesthetic injectors will do a full-face assessment and discuss your areas of concern. Your provider will discuss how many syringes will be needed to reach your aesthetic goals.

We then map out a treatment plan with you to help reach your goals over a period of months (sometimes a year), if needed. One syringe of filler is 1/5 of a teaspoon, so for full correction, you may need multiple. We will always discuss the full cost of treatment before injecting!

Does it hurt?

Topical anesthetics are applied to treated areas 15-20 minutes prior to treatment to help with discomfort. We also offer dental blocks for lip filler so that you won’t feel anything! Additionally, all Juvederm and Restylane fillers include lidocaine in the syringe, which further helps numb the treated area during injections.

When will I see results?

You will see results immediately after treatment, but your best results will be in two weeks after any swelling and bruising has resolved.

How long do results last?

This depends on the product used, area injected and the patient. Most filler injections last for 9–15 months.

Any side effects I should know about?

Bruising and swelling are most common in the immediate post injection period. We send patients home with an ice pack to reduce swelling and any discomfort. In some instances, you will feel “bumps” in the filler which should resolve within two weeks. We recommend being injected at least six weeks before an event!

Can you get Botox/Dysport and filler in the same visit?

Yes, you can definitely be treated with fillers and Botox/Dysport/Jeuveau in the same visit. Just make sure to tell notify our Aesthetic Liaison when you book your appointment so that we have enough time to do both!

What is the best type of filler?

Our highly trained aesthetic injectors will discuss your goals and help pick the right filler for you!

What if I don't get filler every 6-12 months?

If you choose to not continue filler injections, the filler will eventually be absorbed by your body and the treated area will return back to how it looked prior to injections.

Will my face look unnatural?

When injected in the correct amounts by the right medical provider, filler injections can result in a subtle appearance that only you will notice. But beware, everyone might comment on your improved appearance, they just might not be able to pinpoint the cause.

I'm pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I be treated with filler injections?

Filler injections should not be used in pregnancy or when breastfeeding.
