Dissolve unwanted fat in the submental area, aka “double chin”. Kybella is a man-made form of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring material that helps the body absorb fat. This product is injected into the submental area and destroys the membranes of the cells that store fat. Once destroyed, they can no longer store fat.

There is immediate swelling post treatment, but your fat deposits are dramatically reduced in 6 weeks time. Most people require a series of 2-4 treatments to reach their optimal result.

When will I see results?

Results are commonly noticed 8-12 weeks after treatment. Most people need a series of treatments, 1-2 vials at a time, to see dramatic results.

How long do results last?

Results from treatment are permanent.

Does it hurt?

Topical numbing cream is applied for 30 minutes to reduce discomfort during the treatment. We also give you a cold ice pack to hold on area immediately after injecting.

Any side effects I should know about?

The most common reactions include pain at the injection site, bleeding, bruising/hematoma, temporary redness and swelling, induration at the injection site and nerve injury causing temporary numbness.

When can I wear makeup again?

We recommend waiting 24 hours before applying makeup.

What is the downtime? Can I go back to work after my treatment?

You will notice mild to moderate swelling immediately after the treatment. Moderate swelling may last about 72 hours, and mild swelling and numbness to site may persist for up to 12 weeks.
